How to generate panorama from S-Series and VX total stations and export it into different formats
1. Go to command of Process Panoramas under the tab of Photogrammetry. Find the station you need to generate panorama.
2. The first two check boxes are optional to balance the exposure and blend the edges of images. Check the last box in the row to generate the panorama. There is detailed information at the bottom of the command panel explaining all these functions. Depends on your field configuration when the pictures were taken, you may see the first box grayed because HDR is enabled already.
3. Choose what file format you want to generate. Then click Process at the bottom to generate the file. You can choose more than one format.
(1) Google Earth KML Powered by InSphere. This option requires a valid InSphere account to proceed. The file package is stored in InSphere cloud and is not visible to the user. A .kml file will be saved to the user’s local project folder.
(2) Google Earth KMZ. This option will store the file package and the .kmz file locally. No InSphere account is required. Note: kmz file generated this way could only be viewed properly in Google Earth versions no later than 6.2
(3) HTML. This option requires the user to install Microsoft Research HD View add-on in the web browser. Google Chrome states that this add-on will not be supported soon. IE could open it. I don’t have FireFox, so the compatibility is unknown. Users can operate zoom and pan in the webpage.
(4) JPEG. This option will just generate a static jpeg file.
