TRIMBLE TSC7 CONTROLLER: REINSTALLING THE OPERATING SYSTEM

CAUTION – Reinstalling the operating system will erase all software installed on the device, and all data stored on the internal storage on the device.
To reinstall the operating system on a Trimble® TSC7 controller, you must build an image installation USB key.
- Prepare a USB key. Make sure that:
- The memory capacity is less than 32 GB.
- It is FAT32 formatted; right-click the USB Drive name in File Explorer and check the Format in the Properties.

NOTE - Use a 2.0 USB stick if inserting directly into the TSC7 controller. If you use a 3.0 USB stick inserted in the controller, you may get an error message. To resolve this, connect the controller to a hub and insert the 3.0 USB stick into the hub; this converts it to USB 2.0.
2. Download the OS image from
here (the file size is >7GB).
3. Extract the files to your office computer.
4. Copy the extracted files into the root directory of the USB key.
5. Boot up the TSC7 controller from a restart/shutdown state. When the Trimble logo appears, press and hold the Fn key and repeatedly press F1 (that is, F7).
6. Select the USB key from the boot options. It will look like the screenshot below, showing UEFI: (<Your USB Key, Partition x).
The installation automatically starts.
After booting up, the TSC7 controller is in the Factory default state, and you are able to configure language settings and all other settings as needed. You will need to reinstall your software.
