Enhancements
- Added support for the UHF Networking feature for the Spectra Precision SP60 receiver
- Added support for the Trimble R10 GNSS receiver
- Added support for Trimble’s CEC division’s SPS series instruments. In Survey Pro, select Trimble S/V series for the correct drivers.
- Total Stations:
- SPS620/720
- SPS730/930
- GNSS:
- SPS985/985L
- SPS585
- SPS855
- Added an option to include both Features and Codes in CSV file exports
General Improvements
- Corrected an issue where only single digit point names could be entered on the Quick Codes measurement screen
- Corrected an issue with certain Topcon receivers that could block them being used as network rovers
- Corrected an issue with certain Topcon receivers that would report 0 space free on the instrument when there was space available
- Fixed a rare issue where in certain cases, using a WGS84 datum could override custom ellipsoid parameters
- Fixed a condition where points numbers might not increment properly when switching between certain screens
- Arrow buttons now more reliably turn robotic instruments in the Remote Control Foresight screen. Not all cases can be fixed because of where the software focus may currently be at. This is an OS limitation
- F30/35 Radio Bridge configuration screen was missing the Bluetooth selection button
- GNSS Points report via a style sheet would not produce a proper CSV file because of extra header information that was included
- Support for a Cassini Soldner projection was added (legacy system issue)
- Corrected an issue where a S Aziumth, SW Grid job could not be created when there was no projection present
- Many additional general improvements were made for this release
Compatibility
SPSO
Spectra Precision Survey Office version 3.80 is required for use with Survey Pro 6.0 and newer because of the new .survey file format (Or, your current version needs to be updated by running the Software Update utility). Only version 3.30 and newer of SPSO has the proper road design and exporting features.
Central Mobile Apps
Mobile apps for iOS and Android will need to be updated to version 1.3 prior to use with Survey Pro v6.0 files.
Style Sheet Viewer
Version 1.11of the Spectra Precision Style Sheet Viewer is required for use with version 6.0 files. Download the viewer from the Spectra Precision website.
General
Survey Pro will automatically convert older version 5.x files to version 6.0 files when the file is opened. An automatic backup of the older version file will be created when this happens.
ForeSight and ForeSight DXM are supported via the .JOB file and .RAW file export from Survey Pro 5.x and 6.0. However, neither ForeSight nor ForeSight DXM can import the new .survey file directly from Survey Pro 5.x and newer.
Update procedure
For the update procedure and downloads, refer to Spectra Precision Partners or SpectraPrecision.com.
Survey Pro 6.0.1 enforces the requirement for a valid warranty prior to updates. The Survey Pro 6.0.1 installation program will use an Internet connection to verify the serial number of the data collector for warranty coverage. If the unit is not covered, you can continue the installation, but the software will only work in demo mode on the data collector until a warranty is purchased. You can also choose to discontinue the installation and keep the fully licensed version that is currently installed on the unit.
If an Internet connection is unavailable at the time of installation, and the software installed on the unit is the current minor update version, the installation will continue.
The installation program will warn you if your warranty has expired and you can choose to continue or cancel the installation at that point.
